These police are their own worst enemies.  I thought the original
action was at least potentially defensible in context, though it
pains my photographer's soul to have to say so.  I could say a lot
about that but I'll wait for any potential discussion next Friday.


But this institutional silliness tends to cast doubt on their
position in the first instance, IMO.
