Oh, well then, I must be mistaken when I see those pipes on my van.

Perhaps I meant..."inhibit rust to a very great degree on the outside" where the Peanut Oil was wiped on..What ever....

The rusty surface coming up on my expensive custom-bent pipes had me concerned...until I wiped that oil on there and the rusting stopped now...on the outside. Except, as I said, on one small section where the rust got a really good start, and there it seems to come back, but less 'aggressively' than before the oil coating.
