RE: Connectors for Solar My solar panel setup uses Anderson Powerpole connectors throughout. <http://www.powerwerx.com/anderson-powerpoles/> My setup is not permanently installed on the top, it's stored inside when not parked. When the panels are deployed (gee that sounds fancy) they connect with 25ft of #10 zip cord pair <http://www.powerwerx.com/wire-cable/red-black-zip-cord.html> (very soft and flexible) at a connector just inside the rear hatch. From that connector is another piece of #10 going forward to under the rear seat where the controller and the aux battery reside. The large Powerpole connectors can be permanently mounted (two screws) if that is needed. I can shut the rear hatch down (though not latched) with the cables plugged in. Since the panels are not working at night they get unplugged at the rear hatch so the hatch can be closed. If I ever mount the solar panels on the pop top I'll bring the wiring in through the top at the drivers side rear of the top and down through the rear cabinets.
