Dunno. Plastic is obviously softer than glass. Gotta be careful. There may be commercial products out there that would work better. Do some testing. Jewelers rouge come in several grades. That may work.

Best bet is to check with Autozone or other FLAPS. Autozone carries a product specifically made for polishing out scratches and crazing in headlight plastics.
