I would not like a wire connected to that battery + post on the starter. It has access to enormous unfused amount of current. Something bad happens and it gets grounded, that could get real exciting back there. David's idea or some other way to temporarily access 12+ at the alternator and only when you need it seems a lot safer. Edward
