The distributor came with an RF shield that goes over the distributor cap. It has a braided strap on it that ends in a female spade connector and bleeds the interference to ground.

I don't really know if it needs to be there - you'd think so or they wouldn't have gone to the trouble. My 1.9 and both 2.1 WBX engines have the shields.
