I've been practising rebuilding auto trannys for our lovely buses and I always have trouble with the same step every time. I'm hoping someone on the list can share with me their tricks to overcome my heartaches.
The grief I'm having always has to do with the re-installation of the one-way clutch or Sprague clutch on to the outer ring and having the keyway line up. Do you experts start the completed assembly over the planetary gear and then drop the key in or ???
If someone has experience in this area maybe they can e-mail and we can chat.
Very interested in everyone's experience with these.
