Subject: Crazy pop-top modification idea
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

This just occured to me as I was reading a question about how much can be stored up top with the top closed. Since the top is fiberglass, it would not be hard to cut out a section of the pop-top and remake the shape to allow for storage on top of the bed with the top closed. Kind of put a box shape over the folded bed area. Has anyone done anything like that - changes to the shape of the top using fiberglass? I'm just kind of thinkin' out loud...

I have a weekender and am finding there is llittle room. I'm in the process of building cabinets to go behind the two front seats that convert to a bench. I'll post some plans when I finish them if anyone is interested.
