This sounds like a great idea - can you leave your van on Mayne?

Thanks!

Hi,

one suggestion for the gulf islands is putting in at the south end of Mayne island, paddling south to winter cove on the north end of Saturna, through the narrow passage between Saturna and Samuel island, then on down south to Tumbo and Cabbage islands. I have done this, and camped on the south beach of Tumbo. There is a marine park at Tumbo, but I don't know about the legality of camping on Tumbo itself.

The passage between Samuel and Saturna is narrow (maybe 15 m at the most) so you have to choose your time, can be a river on full flood/ebb.
