To avoid that happening again, when you replace the switch add a relay from a separate fused circuit to drive the blower high speed. Use the high switch position to control the relay.

30 terminal on the relay from a new fused circuit, always live. 87 terminal to blower high speed. 86 terminal from the blower switch, 85 terminal to ground.

This will take the load off the switch and also off fuse S10 which is operating at max capacity driving the blower, wipers and wash pump.
