Rob, assuming that installing power steering on a non-power steering vanagon is going to be easy and simple... what were you thinking? :-) You need the rack, a steering universal joint, steering linkage to universal from steering box, power steering pump with mounts, power steering belt, power steering lines (long ones and short ones in engine bay), power steering reservoir. You also may have to modify the front uprights (see Bentley on this one). I would say getting a parts van would be the easiest/cheapest way and that way you can see how it all comes off so you know how to swap it over. Of course I am assuming you have a 1.9l waterboxer in 83. If you have an aircooled or diesel this won't work at all. Hope this helps. -- Thanks, Ken Wilford John 3:16 www.vanagain.com Phone: 856-327-4936 Fax: 856-327-2242
