Like Tom mentioned, if this is important to you and you want to ensure a
desired boost output at a certain altitude, then simply install a manual
boost controller, like this

running on an OM606 being prepped for an install.  The boost
controller
and a cockpit boost gauge would allow you to dial in the boost performance
you like.  If you're thinking of increasing max boost, I'd also recommend
installing a cockpit pyrometer to monitor EGTs as well.
