I occasionally look for 90-93 Cabrios, 90-92 Golfs, 90-92 Jettas and
90-91 Vanagons in the boneyard to get the "newest" ones for spares
these days. These were the last year(s) this model configuration was
installed and there is no superseded substitute that I know of.  They
were obsoleted by VW over 10 years ago, no federal requirement to keep
them available any more.  Like it or not the gummint don't want ya
driving vehicles over 20 years old these days :)
