Seems too big to me. I had a thermometer that I used to have mounted just above the fridge and on the left side of the face of the stove. (up until I broke it when working on something else.) I want to get a new one, but this one you mention is 3.4" tall (and 1.1 inches thick!). Where I had my old one mounted I can't use anything more than about 2 1/4 tall (and maybe 1/2 inch thick.
