Subject: Fwd: Transmission question AND front axle solution opportunity
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Dear List I have the opportunity to purchase a clean 86 Syncro with the tranny stuck in 2nd gear and for some unknown reason, the front axle disconnected. Question to the learned Bretheren - what in your most experienced view - might be wrong with the tranny?  (FYI - It was replaced with a rebuilt tranny in 2002.) Why would the front axle be disconnected? There is a drive shaft and a re-man front axle shaft - still need to find another. Questions are because - I DON'T KNOW THE ANSWERS  - but these are serious issues and I seek the wisdom of this wise and experienced Clan. Thank you in advance. Peter  Marsh 239 595 6171
