I had luck rehabbing one of mine by cleaning it real good with thinner or something. Sprayed the top with a silver special finish paint, let it dry for a few days and put blue painters tape over the raised script and cut it out with exacto knife using the raised edges as a guide. Sprayed with flat black and peeled masking off of raised script. I think I applied some clear coat afterwards. It held up pretty good and was cheap and easy enough to do.
