Didn't we list all these before? broken cv, broken axle, broken wheel bearing. can't drive syncro with a front axle out, the wheel bearings will migrate out of housing.
(you are talking about one of the axles going from front diff to the wheels aren't you? if you are talking about the prop shaft from rear to front diff, then most probable reasons for that being out are: -viscous coupling shot, too stiff - U joints on prop shaft busted - propshaft bent) alistair
