RE: Actual Tire Failures On my '85 WEsty I had tread separation on two of four tires (wrong rating, to low, passenger tires) that were put on by mistake. I'll give this, there were quite a few miles on them before they failed. And they didn't blow out but sure could have if I'd continued driving on them. And it's not only the failure from load, it's the handling also. When I finally got a properly rated set of four tires on the '85 I though I was driving an entirely different vehicle, the difference in ride and handling was truly amazing. |
