If you're referring to the crossover tube, check gowesty, busdepot vancafe. IIRC one or more of those vendors should have the aftermarket crossover tube. And airhead parts may have it too but that's a distant memory. ...... well I see an "OEM" type version of that part:

In reading recent posts on thesamba, in terms of grommet, hose replacement, it seems to me that install error is usually the reason for a (too soon) reseal. Not suggesting that you did things wrong, but if I"m not mistaken, the grommets should last several years at least before a reseal is needed. One point of curiosity for me when doing my first tank reseal was getting the crossover pipe situated correctly (it goes over everything) and getting the plastic nipple to seat properly in the grommet when giving the tank it's last push into place. The correct procedure is well documented. If the Vanagon archives aren't working for you, check thesamba.com Vanagon forum.

I remember seeing something about aftermarket metal bits being made to replace the plastic gas tank & fuel line parts that fail so regularly. I tried to got to the archives to look it up but my limited technowhow failed me again. Can anyone direct me to the latest & greatest fix for the fuel fitting/grommet dilemma? > thanks, > Ron Komoroski >
