Perfect example of products that are supposed to help becoming their own maintenance nightmares. Seen many an aftermarket oil cooler or hose for same destroy an engine or transmission.

A few months ago I finished an overhauling on Ursula, replacing everything related to fuel and cooling systems, engine and automatic transmission oil coolers, a/c hoses, etc. Two weeks ago I had to drive a couple hundred miles round trip, and noticed the transmission was siliping. Checked the fluid and had to add two pints, and a quart when I got home. This week the leak was worse, but I couldn't find where it was coming from until today, when I had the van up in ramps, and degreased the tranny area, and checked the cooler hoses. Everything was tight when I checked them, so I started the engine, the oil cooler itself was leaking big time. So I lowered the thing, re-started the engine, and the leaks were coming from both ends, turned out all the bolts holding the end caps to the cooler bodt were loose, ALL OF THEM. If you recently installed one of these, please check it when you get a chance, I spent a lot of money on transmission fluid and risked burning the tranny, since this is my only vehicle at the moment.
