Before my client retired from making taxi parts, he demonstrated to me how those plastic light domes on top of cabs are made. Basically heat plastic sheet in oven; place over positive form; bring negative form down over. Then they trim. His forms were made of some sort of hardwood.

I've got the Aussie and BD covers if you need form samples.;-)
