ok...here is what I have seen on those lower grill fasteners.

if things are 'normal' there is a screw to unscrew, and then the plastic part will pop out of the body hole.

originally............I think some of them had a short plastic rod inserted in them in place of a screw. those you just pop inward with a small pointy tool, like a small screwdriver or punch . and that releases the clip in the body.

going back together you use large sheet metal type screws.
