I had to drive a friend in from the airport with the van and its big hole in the roof (the luggage rack was on). Boy is the "sunroof " nice. No buffeting, not as noisy as you would imagine. We mapped out where the air was ducking in, and it seemed to curl in around 2/3 of the way back of the front edge of the hole. I'm guessing the luggage rack would have affected that flow. BTW the friend I was driving with is my partner in crime of making water tunnels/flumes. So between both of us we can come up with a butt-load of sketchy fluid dynamic answers to many questions :) alistair On 2011-07-25, at 1:06 PM, craig cowan wrote: > yes, those sunroof ones rock! > : ) > > -Craig > '85 SUNROOF GL turned westy > '87 SUNROOF Syncro > > > On Sat, Jul 23, 2011 at 6:14 PM, Alistair Bell <albell@shaw.ca> wrote: > >> Finally, after lots of procrastination, I've cut the pop top hole in my >> syncro tin top.
