I recommend having it ceramic coated. I have one on my van. Mild steel, ceramic coated. The SS model I had on it cracked after about 14K miles. Had to add a flex pipe, which worked.
I only have about 3K miles on the new header so can't say anything about durability. I'd strongly recommend calling Kevin here:

.... it will give you some information that you can then take to your local hunt. DO NOT just put the pipe on your van and call it good. You will regret not spending the $130.00 or so to have
it coated, when you are replacing your pipe or watching it rust.
Mine has been in rain, mud and some ice and it's still midnight black. Doesn't even look (in the outside) like it's been used. Good coatings are very durable and will trap exhaust heat
by 40%-60% more than non-coated, and their black coating has been tested to indicate measurable improved heat-trapping over other coating colors, but Kevin will explain all that.
The coating also resists corrosion/rust, especially where it will rust most, inside out.
