Just back from Walleye & Westies > http://www.vanalong.com/walleye.html What a great event in such a great camp ground. Thanks to Gerry & Lynn and all their friends and family who provided us with boat rides to the most idyllic beach I have ever been to, fine fishing with plenty of action, hot sunny weather, fireworks, huge bonfire, a touch of rain, a fish fry to die for, a camp site ON the Serpent River with electricity no less, a broken van to repair, good company from the few who attended. You'd all better buck up and make the long drive up there next year ! It's a real campground in the northern wilds of Ontario, not to be taken lightly ! We drove home yesterday via Manitoulin Island, took the ferry over to Tobermorry. Beautiful county, lakes, lakes, lakes and more lakes. Camping spots galore. If you have a longing for wilderness get your Westy up that way ! Last I heard Isabelle & Michel got their ailing '81 Westy to John's Bug Shop in Welland for service so they can continue their holidays. I worked on it all day Sunday to get them securely to John's. Never a dull moment at these Westy gatherings. Now back to work on the pile of broken vans in my yard ! Gerry has photos to post on Facebook soon, stay tuned !
