The power steering has a pressure switch that activates a valve allowing additional air into the engine; the valve is located on the right side of the forward firewall. I believe the A/C has an exactly similar arrangement. The normal idle stab on the 1.9l engines is an electronic module that advances ignition timing when idle falls below 750 (Federal) or 850 (California) rpm. Yours, David |
