Thanks Jim, I did just that. Put a gob of JB Weld on it all around, plastered it shut. I'm sure, that will do it. Did you mean, to do this as a standard precedure anytime an engine is out? Zoltan

If you have any leaking of a gallery plug, attend to it now. A few years back, although there was no leaking warning, mine on my Westy Wasser popped out. Thankfully, I was in my driveway and not on the freeway when this happened.

Its a good idea to check them all before assembling the rear hanger assy and mounting the engine into the van. JB Weld (as Roger posted) is best to use to enhance the sealing of them all. -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" 75 914 1.8 "Nancy" Full Timing Since March 1999 oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On Sat, Jul 23, 2011 at 12:41 PM, HotelWestfalia <zolo@foxinternet.net> wrote: > I don't remember having this discussed.
