Odd, I never got Jim's message. Alistair, did you cc: the list in response to a private email?

In any case, for US tools, look for (Stanley-)Proto. They claim "Today, Proto offers a complete line of more than 5,000 tools and sets that are manufactured to the highest standards in the USA." I'm pretty sure they make more than that, though, so you'd have to check each one.

Estwing hammers, Channellock pliers/wrenchs/screwdrivers, too.
