re starter ..I only use Bosch rebuilt starters..and have perfect luck with those.

re alternator .. don't know which one you are running ... but if you are running the stock cast iron diesel vanagon alternator stand.. and would like to upgrade to the common 90 amp alternator used on all waterboxers, and many other vw/audi cars .. I sell an adapter bracket kit for that. it also allows you to get rid of the plastic plug-in connector on the a;aternator that the stock 82 DV uses ... eliminating a weak area, and those are not availbble anymore anyway.
