Hi..
so what is the plan then ?
with the entire rear deck area be raised ?
if so..the cabinet is an issue.
sounds to me like you could work on engineering to raise the whole rear
seat..
but that idea isn't practical at all really.
oh.......you want to extend how far up the pivot point is for the rear seat
..
but even still...
at the moment, I don't see that readily working out cleanly or nicely.
it's more than 'hinges' ..it's a whole Z bed articulated mechanism.
and ..
you raise the pivot point..
you change where the seat back is when it's laid down.
Back to the drawing board.
since you say "I'm told" ..
does that mean you are doing the work and this is what someone said.. ?
or someone else is doing the engine install and leaving this issue to you ?
more info would help.
I notice that people ask questions about their proposed solution..
and do not ask questions starting with the issue they are trying to fix or
address.
I see this a lot actually. It's natural to do that ..
but makes it harder for people to help you figure stuff out.
that's somewhat backwards of course..
a bit like getting parts you think are faulty ..then working on the van
..only to find out it's not that or it's something else also.
more info, mike, would help.
Scott
