87 2.1l stock engine. Trying to track down poor mpg (16-17 down from ~20), using ecu monitor from Volkscafe. OXS ground reads ~0.30-0.45 negative (!), varies with load, such as headlights. Measuring, I see no continuity from OXS connector to Gnd (engine or chassis or to the OXS ground return from ecu to just below AC compressor). Perhaps a break in the wiring to ecu?? Any reason why I should not just ground the OxS ground wire direct to chassis Gnd (convenient location next to coil)?? thanks for your comments Mike 87 2WD westy Palo Alto, CA |
