I'm a WD 40 fan.

In fact I have been using a fair bit of it this morning as a lubricant and anti-galling spray while cutting aluminum. It works just as well, if not better in some instances, than the stick of wax/tallow specifically made for that job. Works fine as a cutting oil when turning aluminum too.

Also use it to remove the wax/tallow residue left on work pieces after buffing.

Last week I accidentally drove over a spray can of it that I had left under the van. Stains the gravel well.
