Wolfgang Duerheimer said, "I could imagine involvement in Formula One in 2018, when the company is at the forefront of the industry," Formula One has been attempting to attract new manufacturers in recent years, with the 2014 engine regulations deigned to be more appealing to those looking to enter the sport. Adrian Newey (currently the chief technical officer of the Red Bull Racing Formula One team) said that the original four-cylinder turbo units were proposed for 2013 because Audi would enter F1 as a result....
