Saw the same thing near Mt. Baker on the Washington/British Columbia border last week. We were a bit constrained for more remote/private 2WD accessible camping spots due to unusually low altitude unmelted snow. Artist's Point day use area at the east end of the Mt Baker Highway cut off by snow slides halfway up at Heather Meadows ski area. Saw a Caterpillar snow plow sitting on top of 6' packed snow filling the upper parking lot, and Sno-Cat tracks leading up past the remaining miles of paved 2-lane road covered in snow.

All the developed campgrounds and several paved/graded lots/Sno-parks/maintainance flats were packed with RVs, trailers, and big tents; generators, A/C units, and panel TVs making noise. Up the FS roads, maybe 2-4 day use parked cars at trailheads, or 2-3 cars a day (saw them coming and going, as their way was blocked by the same snow thwarting us). Cunegonde is no serious off-roader, yet we had complete privacy at Twin Lakes/Yellow Butte Trailhead and various west and north side creeks/waterfalls.

I usually spot multiple vanagons and Westfalias on the mountain, but the only notable sightings were Vancouver based WestyBC rental, and then a family in a steaming white 2WD Westy, rear cushion and engine lid off, on the side of I-5 near the Nooksack reservation Sunday afternoon. We didn't have time to stop for aid, as we were running 3 hours late to due to awful border delays. I hope all is well with them.
