3M weatherstrip adhesive from local auto body paint store. come in a tube like tooth paste with small tip. use sparingly it works well., It will be difficult to get all the old factory residue off the door channel but as long as you get most of it b,ok

New poptop seals have alum clips inside to prevent them from rusting out, the channel does trap water. I tried to run a tiny bead of caulking on mine after install, I think it helped keep the water out.

Hi everyone,

Any tips for installing my new door seal from bus depot? What type of adhesive should I use? I assume to prep it I should remove whatever existing adhesive remains too, right? All tips are welcome!

I'll also be installing my poptop seal - any suggestions for an adhesive to the flat seal as well? I am only replacing the seal that runs along the back and two sides.

Thanks again Jeff 85 Westfalia =
