Not to mention that in 85 the size of the slider windows changes. So no...not a direct swap for all windows. Z From: Ken Wilford <kenwilfy@COMCAST.NET> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Monday, August 8, 2011 1:37 PM Subject: Re: Window Seals Peter, I don't think this is going to work. Let me explain. The 80 to 86 Vanagons had chrome trim around the two front door windows and also fake chrome inserts in all of the other window seals. The seals are made to allow for the chrome trim on the front doors. The 91 never had this trim and it is not easy to retrofit. Even if you could I am not sure why you would want to. The early seals are becoming obsolete while the stock seals for the 91 are all still available. Let me know if I can help you with anything. -- Thanks, Ken Wilford John 3:16 www.vanagain.com Phone: 856-327-4936 Fax: 856-327-2242 On 8/8/2011 1:40 PM, A PETER MARSH wrote: > Dear List, > > Wondering if the window seals for a 1984 Vanagon will fit a 1991 Vanagon? > > Thank you in advance > > Peter Marsh > Naples FL > |
