We sell the correct parts for the various years.  We have the correct late
style wire sets with the resistors built in, for '85-up.  (In fact, at the
moment I have them in genuine Volkswagen/Germany at a closeout price.) We
also sell the earlier style wire sets that lack the resistors, but unlike
other vendors we don't ship them in place of the late style wires (unless
you want them, of course).  Similarly, our tune up kits are specialized for
the various years, exactly as per Jim's explanation.
