IIRC, at one point Bosch was making plug wire sets with an end connector
that would work with both cap types. It had the normal 'old style' end that
clips in place but the center of the clip had an extra part that would also
grab the threaded post of the 'new' style caps. Is this perhaps what was
supplied and you might not have noticed?
