Yes, that is Vanagon Syndrome. Very specific set of symptoms. Nice that you posted it as people often call any type of running problem vanagon sydrome.

My problem sounds very similar to the OP and mine definitely is NOT vanagon syndrome. It occurs on the highway and feels like it, but it also happened in town intermittently at varying throttle speeds, especially when the outside temps were around 90. It also occurred a few times within 5 minutes of driving. I'm going to try to see if I can get it to reliably do it, as that will be easier to find.
