Once you got tencentlife's external oil cooler installed, the two heavy-duty hoses coming off the filter's banjo adapter make it easier to undo the oil drain plug than try to access the filter.

Thanks for the tip on the white nylon gasket. But my heart belongs to copper crushable, mainly because I like saying "copper crushable."
