Well, my (87 westy) started right up and quit again just down the road. Let it sit for a while again and it ran far enough to get the oil changed in town and seems to be idling o.k.

I am on my way, but don't know for how long. Changed oil, added 93 gas and some injector cleaner and picked up a gas filter. I saw Dennis's post that a similar problem may be 02 sensor or wiring. Maybe I will try disconnecting 02 next time it happens. May try opening up the AFM box and cleaning it. Thanks for that tip Richard. Cheers, Dave
