Two owners ago my diesel westy had a second tank installed (Frank noticed the outlet from the main tank when I stopped by to have him look it over in May). I never saw it (PO removed it), I gather it was mounted under the driver side somewhere. And I'm glad it's not still there... a complication that's not needed.

I'm fine with a 10L soft-sided tank I carry when I think I may need it... either inside when not moving or up top while driving. I use a rain/sun shade now to protect what's stored up there, and am not concerned about it (as long as I make sure it's not dripping anywhere). I'm sure I would not think the same way with gas!
