Van Cafe in Santa Cruz replaced my master brake cylinder today. It was leaking at the booster. Glad to have that fixed, but now the tachometer is dead. Apparently someone long ago did a really crappy repair to the foil where it plugs into the tach, and that repair came loose when the tach was removed or replaced. Hard to blame Van Cafe for that. So I spent the whole afternoon trying to tack-solder wires to the foil traces, without much luck. I feel like I'm making progress, but I'd rather replace the whole foil, if possible. So I'll post a separate message about that. |
