I see them starting in 1985 ..
in 7 passenger models.
and probably a 'GL' thing more ..
like I suspect an 85 non-GL may not have a Z-bed rear seat.
the 'model guru's' will know more accurately.
most 86's and up, 7 passenger models, have them, that I've seen.
no 80 to 84 ever has one, that I've seen.
