I've installed one of these in my '82. It was a straightforward installation....all the mounting points were ready to go in the van. I think I had to open/close the frame of the seat to get all the bolts to line up with the mounting points. Apart from that, the main issue was making sure my fingers didn't get caught in the folding mechanism of the seat/bed. and yes I took the wooden foor panel off. That was easy.
