Steve,

I've been going to BM since 2003 and not as bad as some people think. My recommendation is to keep the pop-top down and the doors closed as much as possible, especially during the dust storms. Your camper will come back with a nice thin film of dust everywhere, but it won't be a disaster if she keeps the doors shut.

The playa dust has a lot of alkali and should be washed off after the event. The alkali dust will dry out the rubber bits pretty quick. It will also do job on your skin if you're not careful... The dust is a pain to remove, but you can neutralize the alkali by adding a little vinegar to your washing solution.

Cheers,

Jeff

Please elaborate. Dust I've heard about. But trashed? Are you saying Burning Man is a place where vehicles are trashed by the participants?

I'm serious: I haven't been, but I don't expect problems except from Mother Nature.
