Today I decided to put the bumpers back on my DOKA. The end pieces were cracked, of course, so I got out the old epoxy and went to work. Then I thought, "Why not try to purchase these online?" So I looked, and they are not expensive. Then I thought another thought, "How about that big pile of parts I keep around the wife wants me to clean up and throw out?" You all know that pile, it's the one we all have in the basement/garage/shed gathering a fine layer of dust and dirt. So I looked, and Viola! Final justification for a decade of storage! I had good ends from my 81 that matched, of course, my 91. SO I just put them on. I was going to add the broken ones to the pile for future emergencies, but the stern look from the wife told me it was time to be decisive. So I THREW THEM OUT! Yep, I did it, even surprised the wife. I am a man of decision. And just to prove the point, that I can indeed throw things out, I took the busted ends and mounted them on the shed wall. There, a permanent testimonial that I can throw things out when I have to. ed- The Decisive 91 DOKA with new-ish bumper corners |
