Subject: camshaft bearing shell - WTF?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Ok. so I was installing my camshaft bearings (2.1 WBX) and both flanged shell halves have an index tab on them, but only one of the case halves has a cutout for the tab. This is a Mahle cam bearing set #111 198 541 HD - ref # 057 54004 057. What's the deal? Some photos on the internet show both shell halves with the tab as well. Am I missing something here?

Thanks, Tom
