an 87 Wolfsburg is a very special model, in my opinion. I love mine. it's the first version of what became the Carat. but unlike a Carat ..they don't have the body cladding down the whole side, which is very nice.

there have lower springs, from the factory. fiberglass bumpers, front air dam , alloy wheels and usually a full compliment of deluxe features . tach, central locking, AC etc. Auto trans and power windows would be options..and not desirable ones particularly for me.

they are a real 'sports car' of a Vanagon . Just plain fun to drive.

I sure would never get rid of an 87 Wolfsburg to keep an 7 passenger 84 ..unless it was to pocket the $ from the sale. The 87 Wolfsburg is better in every way .. unless you think the lower ground clearance is an issue.
