You don't need the lock cylinder part .. yours should be fine. you need the 'ignition switch' .. and it's very easy to just plug on a new one as a test. Just remove steering column lower cove. unplug largish connector from the back of the existing ignition switch, and plug your new on one, then operate it with a screw driver. Quite easy to do.

as I said on the phone.. consider all grounds ....especially battery and trans ground strap. I have seen the weirdest 'backwards doesn't make any sense' electrical craziness, and it turned out to be a very bad main ground cable connection., in one case anyway.

Cunegonde's ignition lock has failed - no power to ANYTHING - incl dash clock, lights - at "on" or "start", but all fine with key "off" or out altogether.

Can I jump start somehow? Can I dril it out and force w/a screwdriver? Can I remove the lock or bypass it? Does anyone in Seattle have a used one with at least one key they're willing to sell ASAP?

I'm in a parking lot and have full tool kit.
